veigus I love it. It’s the most fun and best-handling road car I’ve driven. The boxer engine gives it a really low centre of gravity and the 2-wheel drive transaxle gives a nearly perfect front-rear balance.
A turbo would raise the C of G and Subaru wanted the car to have a purer driving experience. It’s the same engine as in the WRX so if you really wanted a turbo (with the additional maintenance & cost). Only two negatives for me - the boot (trunk) space is not great but the back seats fold down which sort of fixes that; and the road noise. It doesn’t have much sound baffling and the low-profile PS4s are pretty noisy. The torsion bars in the engine bay seem to channel the noise from the front suspension straight into the cabin.
That is a sexy and quick car. Please tell me it’s red. Do you use the paddle-shift? I used mine for the first couple of days before reverting to the shifter because I didn’t want to have to keep my hands fixed on the steering wheel like a racecar driver or change up with my left hand while I’m going around a tight corner.
