Anybody have success with steroid cream for phimosis?

Just got prescription steroid cream for phimosis. My girlfriend will be helping me apply it twice a day. Anybody have success with it or have an estimate on how long it takes to fix?

kissen2 depends on what’s causing it. Linchen schlerosis? Note that it often needs to be super strong steroids like Clobetasol Propionate to work and not all Drs know this.

Also consider PRP therapy.

Oak919191 how did that work out for you? I asked my doctor about doing that and he said it leaves scarring and he only recommends doing that for older married dudes.

I thought it was kind of a weird thing for him to say. Are you happy with the results? How bad was your phimosis before doing that?

kissen2 it was really bad before that. Doc told me the same thing, “because it isn’t very pretty”, and I told him that’s fine with me. The scarring softens really well, especially once you’re about 12 months out, and especially when you’re NOT an old dude.

My partner loves it, as have anyone we’ve played with.

No personal experience. I have heard that the stretching should be away from the body, not toward it.

Pulling away from the body hurts less and still stretches the ridged band properly. You’re more likely to stretch effectively for longer that way.

If nothing less invasive helps, there is also a procedure called preputioplasty. It is surgical, but should not remove any skin. They cut where it’s tight in a specific way to widen it and sew it back together.

I had phimosis and short frenulum too. The frenulum was cutted and the phimosis is gone after 2 years.
