Actually the burbs. Bucks county to be precise but yes I spent a few terifying years in Philly at U PENN dodging ride by shootings, beggars and bureaucracy.
Must have been a long time ago. University City is so sanitized now. I live in the Passyunk Square neighborhood in South Philly.
Yeah, early 90s. Even then PENN was on a buying spree trying to gentrify the place. But I can't believeit would be ever become safe. Now it probably justs looks sanitized but is still filthy and dangerous. Kind of like a cut dick - looks clean but has higher rates of STDs and causes women more yeast infctions due to the irritation ;-)
