Anyone else get those ads that open the video in a new tab and turn the original tab into an ad? How the hell does my adblock not catch that.
Yep, sites have been using them a lot more lately as use of AdBlock becomes more prevalent. They can't be blocked because opening a link in a new tab is a standard html command which can be forced on the user and the original page just uses a redirect which is also a standard html feature.
All of the major porn tubes are using them now. Just click the link then close the original tab before it finishes loading an ad for whatever bullshit gaming site. Don't do it too quickly so that the site registers that you have "seen" the ad and won't do it again during the current visit.
If you browse incognito or block cookies, it'll do it every time you visit. It's annoying but it's how we "pay" for using commercial-type sites for free.
