Thanks. Yes, there is an unwritten list of causes that celebrities can attach themselves to. Anything not on that list could lead to the celeb's downfall, and nobody knows better than the people who manage celebrities.
They can go build schools in Third World countries, and adopt babies while they're there, protest sex trafficking, march for gay marriage, and any number of other causes. But if they criticize Obama, doubt man-made global warming, or express concern over abortion, they are pretty much blacklisted. There is no recovery from that, and they know it.
I would say intactivism is likely on the blacklist. Telling a huge number of parents they made an irreversible mistake would put too many fans on the defensive.
