My wife had two sons with her first husband. He was circumcised, and both of their boys were.
I was her first uncut man, and now she is a proponent of leaving boys intact. Our oldest son even brought it up on a couple occasions and asked why she had him circumcised and she explained “the norm” mentality she was victim to. He has expressed that he wishes he weren’t circumcised, and she apologized to him.
She has since spoken verbally on a few occasions that other new moms shouldn’t do it just because it’s the norm, or because the father is cut. She’s not an intactivist, but she certainly would never support infant circumcision ever again.
