Pubic Hair on Women

I'm dating women in their 40s and discovering many of them have lasered off all their pubic hair.

This is a huge turn-off for me. I have two daughters, whom I bathed and diapered all their early years. I see nothing erotic about a bare pubis.

I just don't get it. Why are women doing this to themselves? Do they really believe EVERY man wants them hairless?

What about asking them why the did it? Based on some discussions I've come across, a lot of women say it feels better and cleaner.

That's a shame. I too prefer it with hair.

This is similar to our other conversation @[deleted]. It's just social pressure. They say the same things towards this as they say for foreskin. Shaved pubes is cleaner, more hygienic, less infections, and on and on. But at the end of the day they do it because their friend did it and she did it because her friend did it. No one wants to be the one with pubic hair when all their friends don't have pubic hair. So it's the same as us (or at least me) with not wanting to be the only one with foreskin when nobody else has it. Such a pressured society.

Well you saw what age they are. Do the maths. They all hit puberty in the 90s when Brazillians and full hairlessness were the hot new thing. Now they're stuck with it just like guys born in the 70s and 80s are stuck with permanently bald headed mice.

These women should have realised that in 20 years it would be a hippie retro thing to be hairy but now it's too late ?

Kind of crazy they went the laser route too. Permanent and way more costly.

I would imagine that the category of 'women sleeping around in their 40s' selects for the category 'had pubes lasered off.' Also, unless 'intact' is Gene Simmons, I don't think he's got a statistically relevant sample size. Maybe this is not really a thing?

I concur. It's a similar selection bias that means that almost every girl in porn is below average height and has tatts, or that people on Tinder are not representative of the majority of the population (of either sex).

I so want this to be true but Gene Simmons is Jewish, so prob not "intact".

That occurred to me but my other candidate Lothario was Wilt Chamberlain...which seemed like an even more dated reference

The one girl I questioned said it feels better and it's less trouble than shaving/waxing.

That didn't address the core question of why she initially wanted to lose the hair. But I think circhead addressed that.
