The general thinking among intactictivists (and I agree) is that soap has no place on membranes. The inner foreskin and glans are membranes. So are your eyeballs and inner eyelids, for reference.
Soap on these surfaces strips away the natural secretions that keep them in pH balance, and populated with useful bacteria. Those bacteria eat dead cells, among other functions. You need them there.
Bacteria also produce chemicals that smell bad. That signals us that it’s time to rinse, to reduce their numbers. They can (and should) never be eradicated, just periodically reduced.
