Another alternative that I’ve been using is the default ‘Latest’ feed. Because everything is new, all posts are “unread” by your new acct.
I just scrolled down until I hit posts from a couple of weeks ago that I had read on the old forum - you can even login to the old forum and check the title of the last post you read there.
Then I worked back up the feed, opening the threads in a new tab in my browser. You’ll be taken to the first post that is unread (which, for now, is post #1 in all of them). Scroll down to find recent posts that are actually unread by you, do your stuff, move onto the next. When you’ve “read” every post in a thread the title will be turned grey in any lists.
It’s not perfect because there will be some old posts that have been split off from threads which will appear as new (created by Admin mostly) plus others where links have been updated but that’s just while we get everything properly organised.
Once you get to the top of the feed you can click the tick/check mark toward the upper right which will mark all of the other posts (which you read on the old forum) as read and turn the titles grey. Next time you log in, any new stuff will be at the top (under any “stickied” threads) with a darker title.
If your screen contrast is low, or you’re out in bright sun, or you have sight difficulties telling read from unread, you can click the drop-down arrow next to the empty box at the top left of the feed and choose “not read”. This should make it really obvious which is which.
There are also some options in the drop box next to it. As far as I can tell, ‘Latest’ gives you the latest activity, while ‘Newest’ gives you the newest created threads even tho older threads may have more recent posts. So ‘Latest’ is based on the time of the last post in a thread and ‘Newest’ on the time of the first post. Oh yeah, threads are called discussions now.
