Chinese Indonesian raised in Australia here, from my experience of going to elementary school in Indonesia yes, it’s true that over 95% of Indonesian males are circumcised and there is a huge social stigma around being uncut. The majority of boys in Indonesia get it done quite late in life, at around 5-12 y.o Femcirc on the other hand, is not too common, I can assure you that girls do not get bullied for being unsnipped, but boys are.
Being uncut is a huge taboo, and the fact of me being intact was only possible as our family moved to Australia while I was 10. Even then some of my friends are already cut. Circ is a really huge business in Indonesia, even bigger than what it is in the US of A.
