It can be, to an intact boy growing up in a high-circumcision zone. He could get singled out for ostracism or abuse, or (if he’s lucky) know the difference going in, and still have the anxiety of knowing he could be “outed” at some inopportune moment. Having a secret to keep is stressful.
Then there’s the effects on women. Getting “poked” with a dry, circumcised penis hurts, and if she’s average or below in her secretions, intercourse itself can be painful. I also suspect that anal sex is more sought-after by circumcised men, because they miss something in intercourse and that sounds like it might meet their need.
