I would not rule this out. There are multiple advantages to intactness that would seem unrelated.
For example, [Login to see the link] (accidentally) found a correlation between circumcision and impaired hip flexibility in little boys. Might this explain why non-U.S.-born men make better soccer players? Might it explain the common perception in the U.S. that Hispanic and black men can dance more rhythmically?
It’s already been established that circumcised boys have a lower pain threshhold, and their breastfeeding is interrupted after circumcision. Anesthesia doesn’t seem to matter much, as it wears off and the wound still has to heal. Adults get pain pills after surgery; circumcised boys get a compress of hot urine and feces.
You can look all these things up, and more. But I would not count on them making the news even when such findings are new. News media are American-dominated, and largely owned and managed by people whose faith and heritage value circumcision. They aren’t likely to see as newsworthy studies that contradict what they believe.
And good luck getting universities to study circumcision’s effects on sex at all. It’s very difficult to get funding for research that involves erections.
